Abstract Language isthe vehicle of culture, and idioms are the cream of language. The color words ofidioms are endowed with different connotations. So, it seems to be ofgreat significance to make a contrastive study of the color of English andChinese cultures in the common word "red" of connotations, in order to inquireand announce the cultural mentality in different nations and the differencesand changes in inter-cultural communication of red idioms. paper51.com
