Inconclusion, cooperative learning is a teaching strategy to help teachers tomanage students and improve students’ English level. Cooperativelearning can increase students’ confidence and esteem; it can make everyonebelieve in him or her to be capable, significant, successful and worthy.According to Slavin,cooperative learning gives students a feeling of having achieved success, whichin turn enhances self-esteem. Without some degree of self-esteem, self-confidence,knowledge about themselves, no successful cognitive or affective activities canbe carried out.”(Zhang Weiyou, 2004:21).Cooperative learning creates anenvironment in which it is equal for everyone to study.
