Introduction http://www.paper51.com 1.1 Background of the Study copyright paper51.com As society and economy developfaster and faster, and the communication among countries is getting more and morefrequent, English speaking is getting more and more important and useful. As anEnglish major course, English speaking plays a key role in English major students’learning. However, there appears a common phenomenon: many English majorstudents do not have adequate English speaking ability to express themselvesbecause they have wrong or negative English learning beliefs, and it cannot bechanged radically. For example, many English major students know more Englishgrammar rather than English speaking expressions, so they tend to get higherscores in the exams, but they cannot open their mouth to speak English in dailylife. Many English major students are so afraid of speaking English for lack ofknowledge and confidence that they tend to escape away when they come acrossforeigners or their oral English teachers. Many students cannot express whatthey want fluently, some even do not know how to learnand how to improve their English speaking. Therefore, they tend to waste theirprecious time and cannot improve their English speaking ability. 内容来自论文无忧网 www.paper51.com |
