Jane Eyre takes the form of both a fictionalautobiography and a bildungsroman. As an autobiography, it presents the storyof Jane’s life from her own adult perspective and in her own words. As abildungsroman, it is the story of the education of an individual, both throughformal education and by growing into maturity ①. In this novel, thewriter refers to a woman named Jane Eyre without any luck to begin her life inthis world. She does not have parents in her childhood. She does not have moneyat all, even worst, and she is not beautiful. Although, she has intelligence,honest, justice, strong will and strong feeling. She isforced to battle against the exigencies of a cruel guardian, a harsh employerand a rigid social order. All of these circumscribe her life and position whenshe becomes governess to the daughter of the mysterious, sardonic andattractive Mr. Rochester. However, there is great kindness and warmth in thisepic love story, which is set against the magnificent backdrop of the Yorkshire moors. http://www.paper51.com
