摘 要 在英语学习的四项技能中,写作,因其最难,通常被作为是最后习得的一项技能。因此,中国学生的英文写作一直以来都为许多中外英语教师所关注。对中国学生而言,一个明显的困难就是克服英语作文中的衔接和连贯问题。此研究是针对某某师范学院外语学院英语专业三年级学生写作中衔接与连贯的调查。在这篇论文中将主要从以下两个方面研究20名英语专业三年级学生的英语作文:一个是学生作文中衔接与连贯的现状,另一个是其形成的原因。文中涉及到的数据是通过问卷调查,采访和分析学生作文来收集的。 内容来自www.paper51.com

1.1 Backgroundof the Research http://www.paper51.com As is knownto all that among the “four basic skills” (i.e., reading, listening, speakingand writing) in English learning, writing plays a more and more significant rolefor English learners. Invarious kinds of English tests, writing usually takes up a large percentage oftotal points, especially for the English majors. Take the TEM4 and TEM8 for examples:in TEM4, writing is made up of two parts. One is a composition which takes up15 points; the other is a note-writing which has 10 points, together ranking1/4 of its total scores. While in TEM8, writing has a percentage of 20 in thetotal score. It is believed, to some degree, that English writing abilities reflectthe English level of an English learner. However, writing isa complex activity whose components and sub-components involve actions at anumber of levels, requiring proficiency in several areas of skill and knowledge(Archibald & Jeffery, 2000). The complexity of mastering writing skills forEnglish writers is compounded by the difficulties inherent in learning aforeign language. As a result, English learnersare generally weak in writing. Of various factors, cohesion and coherenceproblems may account for an unnoticed loss of marks in examinations.
